Why the Vivecraft Mod is the Future of Minecraft

Why the Vivecraft Mod is the Future of Minecraft

With the game Minecraft, you can do so many things. You can build an empire, become a miner and find rare items, explore new lands and fight monsters. In other words, it’s like any other sandbox video game out there.

However, for many reasons, Minecraft has been amazingly successful. It’s sold over 144 million copies to date (as of October 2017) and even inspired its own convention in Finland called Minecon. Why is that? Because Minecraft allows you to do almost anything you want.

Even better? Players are constantly coming up with ways to improve their experience as much as possible – including mods! The Vivecraft mod is one of them; it allows users to experience Minecraft in virtual reality with an HTC Vive headset! Let’s take a closer look at why this is the future of Minecraft!

What is the Vivecraft Mod?

The Vivecraft mod is a mod that allows you to experience Minecraft in virtual reality with an HTC Vive headset.

That’s right: you can now fully immerse yourself in Minecraft with a VR headset! The mod itself is designed to work on craft of exile version 1.12 and should also work with future versions of the game as well.

Note that you’ll need a PC in order to use the mod; you can’t use it on a console. The mod itself is actually open source, meaning that anyone can download the code and modify it for themselves.

The Future of Minecraft

It’s no secret that Minecraft is a very addictive game. There are stories of people who have stayed up for days on end, surviving on just coffee and hot chocolate, as they build huge empires. It’s easy to see why: Minecraft is addictive because it offers a level of freedom that’s hard to come by in modern video games.

When you play a game like Call of Duty, you’re given a set path to follow. You have to defeat enemies and complete missions. There’s nothing wrong with that, but Minecraft is different. In Minecraft, you can just build huge, sprawling buildings. You can craft rare items and hunt down monsters.

There’s no “win” condition here; it’s all about what you want to do. The only problem is that Minecraft doesn’t currently offer a way to experience the game in virtual reality. Sure, you can build in VR, but the full Minecraft experience just isn’t there. You can’t explore new lands, fight monsters or build an empire.

Why Virtual Reality for Minecraft?

As we mentioned above, Minecraft doesn’t currently offer a way to experience the game in VR. That’s great if you want to build and craft, but it’s not so great if you want to explore new lands or fight monsters.

Luckily, that’s where the Vivecraft mod comes in! Imagine this: you put on your headset and you’re standing in the middle of a vast desert. You can walk around and explore this desert, finding rare items and fighting monsters. You can even create buildings using your VR controllers and build an empire.

Everything you can do in the non-VR version of Minecraft you can also do in VR! This means that you can experience Minecraft in a whole new way. Before, you could only build in VR, but now, you can explore new lands, fight monsters and even build an empire in VR!

How Does the Vivecraft Mod Work?

There are some big changes that occur when you use the Vivecraft mod to play Minecraft in VR. For starters, you’ll have to craft a special VR helmet and VR hand controller to interact with the game. Next, you’ll have to craft special VR-friendly blocks so you can build in VR.

After that, you can use the mod to teleport yourself to new VR-friendly locations so you can explore new lands. Then, you can create special VR-friendly items like a bed or a workbench so you can craft in VR.

Now, all you have to do is put on your headset and enjoy the full Minecraft experience in full VR! The mod even allows you to invite other players to your world so you can work together to build an empire. It’s a completely new way to experience Minecraft.

Should You Install the Vivecraft Mod?

If you own an HTC Vive headset, we definitely recommend installing the Vivecraft mod! It’s a great way to experience Minecraft in a new way and it can be a lot of fun. Just make sure that you have enough space to move around in – you don’t want to trip over furniture or break something!

Remember, though, that while the Vivecraft mod is a ton of fun, it’s not the only way to experience Minecraft in VR. In fact, there are a couple of alternatives that you should consider as well. If you don’t own an HTC Vive, there are other mods you can use to experience Minecraft in VR.

For example, there’s a mod called Minecrift that allows you to experience Minecraft in VR without an HTC Vive. Another mod you can use is OpenVR. All these mods essentially do the same thing: they allow you to experience Minecraft in VR. Just keep in mind that the Vivecraft mod is the most popular of these VR mods and you can only use it if you own an HTC Vive headset.

Final Words

If you own an HTC Vive headset, there’s no reason not to install the Vivecraft mod! It’s a ton of fun and it allows you to experience Minecraft in an entirely new way.

You can build huge structures and explore new lands in VR or fight monsters and craft rare items. Basically, there’s nothing you can’t do when you play Minecraft with the Vivecraft mod!
